Declaration Regarding Funding of Sororities and Fraternities | New Sorority | Delta Kappa Upsilon

 It has come to my attention that because of intelligence families, a group of college students are unable to join regular sororities because they may be trans or transvestites or dressing adrogynous which leads to misunderstandings in the sorority house.

For this reason, I have a trust set for the New Sorority Delta Kappa Upsilon with Funding for Sorority Houses for Campuses interested in a chapter.


The following Template Bylaws will apply for each Sorority Chapter and are information at this point:

Bylaws for the Delta Kappa Upsilon Sorority

Article I: Name and Purpose

  • Section 1: Name. The name of this organization shall be Delta Kappa Upsilon, represented by the Greek letters ΔΚΥ.

  • Section 2: Purpose. The purpose of this sorority is to foster a community of sisters and sorority brothers dedicated to Inclusivity, Gender Expression and Community Service. We aim to bridge the gap between traditional gender roles in Greek life through mutual support and authentic self-expression.

Article II: Membership

  • Section 1: Eligibility. Membership is open to students at the University approved by the Trustees and Sorority Main Chapter by invitation and who identify as LGBTQ, Non-Gender Aligned, Androgynous who are interested in pursuing doctorate degrees.

  • Section 2: Non-Discrimination. This organization shall not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sexual orientation, or disability but is funded by a member of the Roman Catholic Church  who has a lesbian daughter.

  • Section 3: Good Standing. A member in "good standing" must maintain a minimum GPA of [2.5], pay dues on time, and attend all mandatory events and have a part time job through the sorority job bank.

Article III: Membership Roles and Identities

Section 1: The Sisterhood (The Sorors) While the organization is a Sorority by name, the Sisters of Delta Kappa Upsilon (ΔΚΥ) are defined by their commitment to feminine expression and mutual support.

  • Identity: This role is primarily held non-binary individuals who express themselves through feminine presentation and would like to participate in the Greek culture of their university.

  • Core Responsibility: To mentor new members in the art of feminine expression, aesthetics, and the social navigation of sisterhood while maintaining their unique personal identities and transparency with other Greek houses by their choice of house.

Section 2: The Brotherhood (The Fraters) The Brothers are an integral, equal part of the sorority’s internal structure, providing a masculine expression which adds balance to the organization.

  • Identity: This role is primarily held by non-binary individuals who choose to present with masculine aesthetics and energy.

  • Core Responsibility: To provide a grounding, protective presence and to support the sisters who have decided to enter the Greek system.  They serve as the "Brothers" within the sisterhood.

Section 3: Mutual Obligations  All members follow the guidelines of the house and have specific  responsibilities and duties to the Sorority.

  • Voting Rights: All sisters, regardless of gender presentation, holds one equal vote in all chapter matters. All brothers may express their opinion but do not hold a vote.

  • Office Eligibility: Any Sister member may hold any executive office if she meets the requirements.  Brothers may be delegated jobs within the sorority but may not hold Executive Board positions.

Article IV: Officers (The Executive Board)

  • Section 1: President. Leads all meetings, serves as the public face of the chapter, and oversees all other officers.

  • Section 2: Vice President. Manages internal committees and assumes the President's duties in their absence.

  • Section 3: Secretary. Keeps the "Minutes" (written records) of all meetings and maintains the roster.

  • Section 4: Treasurer. Handles the budget, collects dues, and pays for chapter events/insurance.

  • Section 5: New Member Educator. Oversees the "Pledging" process, ensuring it remains educational and strictly anti-hazing.

  • Section 6 Social Media Coordinator. Oversees sorority blog, sorority social media content and maintains the voice of the sorority to align with the head chapter.

Article V: Meetings

  • Section 1: Regular Meetings. Chapter meetings shall be held Bi-weekly on Sunday over brunch. 

  • Section 2: Quorum. For a vote to be official, at least [50% + 1 or 2/3] of active members must be present at the meeting.  All members must download the sorority app and may use the app for voting if not able to attend the meeting in person on certain votes.

  • Section 3: Parliamentary Authority. All meetings shall be governed by Robert’s Rules of Order to ensure everyone’s voice is heard fairly.

Article VI: Finances

  • Section 1: Dues. Membership dues shall be set at by the main chapter and paid per semester with loan system available through the app. Payments begin two weeks before classes begin.  

  • Section 2: Use of Funds. Funds shall be used for recruitment, social events, and administrative costs.  Community Service and Fundraising events are sponsored by the Main Chapter.  An annual art fair and exhibition will be sponsored by the Trust.

Article VII: The Chapter House and Residency

Section 1: Purpose of the Residence. The chapter house shall be located in an appropriate location. It is a sorority space intended for use hosting sorority events, location of sorority education of members, location for safe interaction between members, and a place for authentic expression by members.

Section 2: Residency Requirements.

  • Executive Live-In: To ensure proper management, at least two members of the Executive Board must reside in the house during the academic year.

  • Occupancy Priority: Housing spots shall be allocated based on a "Point System" (seniority, chapter involvement and community service).

Section 4: Guest and Visitor Policy.

  • Guest Safety: Guests are not allowed in the bedrooms of members living in the house which includes other sorority sisters or brothers.

  • Quiet Hours: To support academic success, "Quiet Hours" shall be observed from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM on weekdays. With a study room included in the house that remains quiet at all times.

  • Non-Member Access: Non-members are restricted from private living quarters.

Section 5: Maintenance and Aesthetics.

  • Respect for Space: All members are responsible for the cleanliness of the residence.  Housekeeping may be contracted for if approved by the treasurer.

  • House Decor: Any permanent changes to the communal areas of the house must reflect the inclusive mission of ΔΚΥ and be approved by a majority vote of members and be aligned with the aesthetic of the main chapter.

Section 6: Safety and Security.

  • Discretion: Members must respect the privacy of their housemates. Recording or photographing other members in private areas without explicit consent is grounds for immediate disciplinary action and potential removal and legal consequences.  For events, permission must be explicit from members and guests before posting images and may be attained before the event begins.

Article VII: Discipline and Removal

  • Section 1: Standards Board. A committee shall be formed to review cases of misconduct or failure to meet chapter standards.

  • Section 2: Removal. A member may be removed by the main chapter for significant violations of the organization's values or safety policies documented by the president, vice president and Sorority security and campus security.

Article VIII: Amendments

  • Section 1: Process. These bylaws may be amended with main chapter approval by a proposal submitted in writing at one meeting and through presentation to the Sorority board as the amendment may be submitted to all chapters.  

Article IX: Definitions of Terms

1. The Main Chapter (or Head Chapter): The primary governing body and original founding location of Delta Kappa Upsilon (ΔΚΥ). This entity holds the original charter, manages the "Mother House," and oversees the standardization of rituals, symbols, and bylaws for any future expansion chapters.

2. The Sorority: The collective organization of all members. While the term "Sorority" is used traditionally, it is defined here as a gender-inclusive Greek letter society that welcomes both feminine-presenting men and masculine-presenting women.

3. Sister (Soror): A member of the sorority who, regardless of biological sex, identifies with and adopts the feminine traditions, aesthetics, and roles within the organization.

4. Brother (Frater): A member of the sorority who, regardless of biological sex, identifies with and adopts the masculine traditions, aesthetics, and takes supporting roles within the organization.

5. The Main Chapter House: The physical residence and meeting space of the Main Chapter. It is legally and socially defined as the Main House where members are free to address the board of directors with issues that need to be addressed, social agendas they would like to pursue, and recognition they would like to bestow on members. It is the main administrative location for the Sorority.

6. Good Standing: A status granted to a member who is current on all financial dues, meets academic standards, and has no pending disciplinary actions from the Standards Board.

7. Presentation of Members: The organization recognizes that "Presentation" is a personal journey and may vary in frequency and intensity between members but all sisters shall present themselves in accordance to standards set at the University and with the standards set by the main Charter house.

8. Pledging: The educational period during which a prospective member also called a pledge learns the history, value, and rules of ΔΚΥ before full initiation.

9. The Bond: The lifelong oath of membership, support, and loyalty to each other. The sharing of support between all members as they pursue their educational goals and career paths.
